Living an “Option B” life…happily!

It is chemo week. Again. Every 21 days is another round of chemo all of 2017.  That can be a blessing or a curse, it’s how you choose to look at it. Each passing day I get a bit more tired but will regain my strength next week. Below are some things I am reading and watching as time passes through this process. May 2nd will be 7 months from my grand mal seizure that started this all…7 months since I have driven a car, 7 months of almost daily seizures, 7 months of daily medications but also 7th months of people extending kindness to me and my family that I have never experienced before.  I have a Black Tie Event this Saturday and you can count me in and mostly likely on the dance floor. You only get one shot at this people. Next week I have a stay in the hospital (sadly no visitors allowed) and the day after I hopefully get out I have the Head for the Cure 5k Sat, May 6. Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook: I highly recommend the new book “Option B” by Sheryl Sandberg who tragically lost her Husband 2 years while on vacation. Though it talks about death we have all experienced an Option B with cancer, divorce, job loss, etc. Watch the short video here.
